Homeless shelter needs can be dropped off at A Village!

Homeless shelter wish list!

A Village- is a donation Drop offItems needed are;

For shelter and outreach:

*Jackets (mens)

*Hoodies

*Underware, Mens ( Large & XL are needed very badly, new only)

*Socks!!!! (new only NEEDED BAD!!)

Shoes, sneakers, boots, all sizes

*Shirts

*Pants (all types)

*winter hats winter gloves

*Blankets or sleeping bags(for passing out on the streets)

*bookbags, dufflebags

*Personal hygiene items

*Towels and washcloths

*Bed linen- (twin size)

*canned food with "pop top" style lids

Items for transitional housing:

*Dishes-Flatware-cups-glasses-pots and pans

*Bedroom furniture

*Living room furniture

*General household items

*Cleaning products

WE ARE ACCEPTING DONATIONS FOR THE WOMEN'S AND CHILDRENS FAMILY SHELTER

TOWELS/WASHCLOTHS,TWIN SHEETS,PILLOW CASES,FIRE RETARDANT PILLOWS,BLANKETS

HYGIENE PRODUCTS;
SOAP,VASELINE,
SHAMPOO,
HAIRCONDITIONER,
TOOTHPASTE,TAMPAX,
SANITARY NAPKLINS,NEWBORN DIAPERS,HAND LOTION

ALSO NEEDED;
SMALL WASTE BASKETS,BLEACH, TOILET BRUSHES, COMET CLEANSER, ROOM DEODERIZERS

Comment by Marianne Goldweber on July 6, 2008 at 3:37pm: In addition to care alliance- the men's shelter at 2200 lakeside and harbor light 9for women and familes has a similar list- you can also drop them off at A Village and we will make sure they get where they need to go...

Bottled water
Sox
Underware
T-Shirts
Sun-tan lotion (with high SPF since they are out all day).
Misquito repelent.

Donations can go to the City Mission of to Care Alliance. Care Alliance provides free health care and medicine to the homeless of Cleveland. The address for Care Alliance is 1530 St. Clair Avenue. Cleveland OH 44114. Phone: 216-781-6724. The outreach nurses name is Donna Kelly...She will take items to the camp sites of the homeless not staying at the shelters.
