Excellent! For years I have done the quick shower thing (or bath) I saw an old film once that had a "How to Bath Efficiently" bit in it and I never forgot it! Think its "Cheaper by the Dozen" starring Clifton Webb (or might be the sequel not sure)...

Getting Off of the Grid

So my husband and I have been discussing how we can live a simpler life and get off of the grid. However, a lot of people don't understand what that means because it means different things to different people.

For me, getting off the grid means the following:

* elimination of credit card debt

* supporting environmentally conscious companies
* buying environmentally aware products

It is a book that I will reflect upon for the rest of my life, always drawing inspiration from it, though I don’t want to hold on to the book.

I don’t know… Continue

Samhain Musings

Friday night, I celebrated Samhain (pronounced Sow-in), the Wiccan New Year with friends who I used to be involved with in a discussion/study group years ago.

It was an amazing reunion and I really enjoyed reconnecting with people from my past and in one situation healing some old wounds and burying the past with someone.

For those of you who don't know, Samhain is a celebration of death, which is part of the cycle of life. At this time, we honor our ancestors, turn our hearts and souls toward… Continue
