Marianne Goldweber A Message from the Dalai lama- the meaning of the mantra 'Om Mani Padmi Hum'

OM MANI PADME HUM OM MANI PADME HUM By- His Holiness the Dalai Lama It is very good to recite the mantra Om mani padme hum, but while you are doing it, you should be thinking on its meaning, for the meaning of the six syllables is great and vast. The first, Om is composed of three letters, A, U, and M. These symbolize the practitioner's impure body, speech, and mind; they also symbolize the pure exalted body, speech, and mind of a Buddha. Can impure body, speech, and mind be transformed into… Continue

Marianne Goldweber The Strawberry Lady.......

I was telling Tara that my ex husband says my favorite past time is talking to people in line....it reminded me of this recent story. One day Jarred and I were in the grocery store.. a lady and I were looking at the pitiful strawberries and the produce guy was standing there.. I asked him if there were any fresh ones in the back- he said he'd be right back.... So.while I was waiting..I did what I do best- I struck up a conversation with the quite nice and lovely lady that was waiting with me..… Continue

Tara Stepping out of our Comfort Zone

I shared this story with Marianne a few weeks ago in a conversation and she asked me if I would blog this for others… When I was 18 years old I moved to England (I got married and my husband was in the military). I got on the plan with two suit cases and headed to a place that everyone told me “it will be great Tara, everyone there speaks English.” Man, they were right but yet so wrong! Yes, they do speak English but this is when I realized we speak American English! Ok, I am getting off task he… Continue

Tara My Personal Dream....

Well, let’s see I have many dreams... but since I am in this life crisis at the moment and trying to find myself... I am going to blog about my personal dream.... I absolutely positively love children! I love being around children and I love enhancing their life skills at any given moment… that is why seven years ago I went back to college to obtain my degree… during my journey I realized not only do I have a passion for teaching children, I fell in love with young children… preschoolers! I the… Continue

Kathleen Spiritual Irony

Last September, I left my job of seven and a half years to take a new job closer to home. I told myself I was making the change for my family; but I now know I was leaving my job over a bruised ego and pride. (That however is for another time.) So I take this new job, and get fired 3 months later. Even today I have difficulty over how it was handled, I felt quite humiliated and victimized. It still hurts to look at it, despite the knowledge that it may have been in my best interest. What I know… Continue

Marianne Goldweber The Give Away....

The Give Away by Marianne Goldweber Over the last 3 years, I have been in a process of purging things that do not "grow corn"..or serve me any longer... It has been an arduous process, but I am at the end of this very long journey.... In order to create the space needed for abundance and opportunity, I went into the basement to face the last of the stuff that I have acquired and need to surrender.. Doing this requires an objective view, ability to let go, and surrender to what the Universe has y… Continue

Kathleen Ima Newbie

Here it is... my first ever BLOG. Marianne has been after me to write something, and I believe other influences have been pestering me as well to put it on paper so to speak. I'm just not sure what it is I need to say. Transitions is what comes to mind, I'm smack dab in the middle of one whopper of a life transition, on so many levels its hard to keep track of them all, spiritual, work, physical, financial, sexual... you name it and it and I are in transition. I can't even say where it began, th… Continue

Marianne Goldweber Rainbow Blessings

There are times I forget to be grateful easier to see things that are wrong as I dishonor the the gifts I've been given with worry, angst and woe. There are times I need reminding of the things I take for granted each day; my children, my home or a stranger, sent to brighten my way. Take some time to say thank you for the blessings that color your day; Those colors will form a rainbow, and chase the darkness away. Marianne Goldweber Continue

Marianne Goldweber As the Moon grows....

The Moon begins her cycle as an almost invisible orb- and slowly- ever slowly- she begins to reveal herself. Night after night... every evening... and as she does- her energy builds- making me more and more human until i could scream- emotions rise... anger- disappointment-joy- sadness-excitement- fear- the visions rolling on a loop in my minds eye... the Moon whispering to me 'hurry...' How queer these human bodies are- bags of water- and just like Mother Earth's - the tides within me begin to… Continue

Marianne Goldweber It takes A Village....

I am only one.. I saw our Mother toxic and unhealthy... and it seems too big for one. I saw women and children suffering and no one to teach them to rise.. and it seems too big for one I saw lost souls consumed by the trials of life- and it seems too big for one. I saw people who had many freedoms but were slaves to their greed and hedonism and it seemes too big for one I prayed..I am only one.. and The Great Mystery replied- Each rain drop is one... they fall to Earth and join together to… Continue

This was sent to me and I thought it very good. I thought I was a person with much self-control until I read this and realized I am one with very little self control. Hope you find this helpful. God did not give us a spirit that makes us afraid but a spirit of power and love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NCV) *** *** *** *** Successful people have one obvious trait in common: personal discipline. Hello Friends. How about we start our day with a positive self-affirmation from now on? "I" statements can be repeated to cover 3 areas: I am: A statement of who you are ( I am creative, I am beautiful, I am healthy, etc) I can: A statement of your potential (I can be strong, I can handle my problems, I can change, etc) I will: A statement of positive change in your life (I will control my temper today, I will sleep easily tonight, I will exercise, etc) I Am, I Can and I Will are Statements… Continue

My Prayer to the Universe Oh Great Spirit, I come humbly, a woman with hopes and dreams and fears. Help me to find myself in everyone I meet today. Guide my words to help another heal. Marianne Goldweber Dr Martin Luther King Jr.

In 1968 I was 7 years old. I grew up in Lakewood, Ohio in a middle class neighborhood, where there was little reason to worry about social issues. I became a little more socially aware when I was about 12- in 1973, I remeber everyone wearing POW bracelets, in support of t… Continue

Marianne Goldweber Ancestral orphan

When did our society become so unbalanced, or has this been a gradual unraveling? Our indigenous peoples believe that in order to be in balance, we must honor the polarities that work within us. The Light and the Dark, The Male and Female, The boy Child, The Girl Child, The Mother,The Father, The Grandmother, The Grandfather, All of these exist in a delicate balance. If any of them are hurt, neglected,or un-balanced then the whole is out of balance. What is it to be a Grandfather? What is it t… Continue

Marianne Goldweber The paradox of fear and faith

There are a number of great paradoxes' in the balance between the Light and the Dark energies that keep the balance. One of the greatest is Love and Fear. To have one means not having the other... Fear is an illusion- to keep us paralyzed- or a motivator to get us moving. The best way to eliminate fear is to find faith. Many of us profess Faith- but the true test of Faith is in the moment- the dark hour.. When fear has us confused- dizzy and frantically trying to manipulate and manage... The… Continue

Michael Mirth I'm sorry and I love you: Ho'oponopono

What follows is the first encounter I had with the amazing Hawaiian word Ho'oponopono, which I am willing to call, "The Second Secret." If you choose to be open to it, it may transform your life as it has mine. . . Sat Jul 22, 2006 HO'OPONOPONO By Joe Vitale "Two years ago, I heard about a therapist in Hawaii who cured a complete ward of criminally insane patients--without ever seeing any of them. The psychologist would study an inmate's chart and then look within himself to see how he created… Continue

sheltiegrrrl History in Our Backyard

I'm just thinking how cool it is that we're having a Presidential Primary Debate here in Cleveland tonight! No matter what your political stripe, you must admit it's a historical event -- right here, right now. A black man and a white woman are the two Democratic front runners. Think how far we've come as a society. As a member of "Generation X", I've often bemoaned the lack of "Capital H" historical events in my lifetime -- well, at least good ones. To me, this is up there with the tearing down… Continue

sheltiegrrrl Attitude is Everything: Keep it Positive!

A couple of years ago, I took a class that changed my life: The Dale Carnegie Course. It's a 12-week class that meets one night a week for 3.5 hours. The class I attended had people from many age groups, ethnicities and professions. Over the weeks of the course, we found that despite our different backgrounds we all had a great deal in common. We had all really embarked on a journey of change together. One of the biggest changes for me was a shift in perspective. While I'll probably always be a… Continue

Marianne Goldweber Graditude- become accountable

Today is about gratitude I spent a good portion of my life, blaming and criticizing others for my unhappiness. If not for the unconditional love of those who spoke a clear and profound message of faith, purpose and accountability, I would not be who I am today. Marianne Goldweber Soul Mates- Not what you think!!!!

Soul mates.......
Our soul mates are not necessarily the passionate lovers that we long for and search for in this life. Our soul mates are sometimes those souls that challenge us the most.
Those that bring us the most powerful lessons.
Forcing us to make peace with them in this Earth walk, in order to learn more about ourselves.

They impact our lives so purposefully that they alter its course.
Good and bad
Right and wrong
Better or worse

Marianne Goldweber Release your Inner Rebel!!!

Good Morning!
You have to learn the rules in order to effectively break them.
Self Discipline is one of the hardest rules to learn and unfortunately, the lessons that come with it can be harsh.
Too many times our want overrides the rule and only with self discipline can we fill the want and reduce the risk.

Marianne Goldweber Thought for the day- So what are you going to do?

When you embrace a spiritual path, the little happenings in life begin to take on a deeper meaning.
Once you embrace the idea that everything is happening for a reason- that there are no coincidences - it is hard to be a victim- or resent these life challenges when we see them as opportunities to grow or evolve or to gain another perception.
I used to use the word 'weird' to explain these things- but realized it's not weird- but very interesting..
My son has…

Marianne Goldweber My Little Gandhi

Through my Personal and Spiritual awakening, I had a little shadow. He is my son.

It's interesting how becoming a parent changes your awareness. It makes you more keenly aware of what a damaged place this world is. I went from wanting to protecting my child- to wanting to change the world…

A world where violence-war- hatred-apathy-anger-chaos-cruelty-slander-gossip-revenge-abuse-neglect- runs rampant.

We are so assaulted- that we have become numb t

Marianne Goldweber Messages and Messengers- why is this happening...

For all of us- the process of awakening is just a shift in perception-

Our human perception is about the self...and the spiritual perception is outside us....

It took me a very long time to go from the human- the victim of things happening to me...to the perception that I am creating what happens to me....to how can I create what I want the world to be.....

The common denominator is me- and the thing that changed was my perception.....

Through this entire process t…

Marianne Goldweber Getting Invested- Thought for the day!

It's very easy to be critical of things- like our jobs, our spouse, our society, our leaders etc.

But...maybe we haven't really been part of the solution- we haven't been invested in being the solution..
