Have you heard of the garlic diet? You don't lose much weight, but from a distance your friends think you look thinner.

Some of you may have already been warned of this.....
You've heard about people who have been abducted and had their kidneys removed by black-market organ thieves.
My thighs were stolen from me during the night a few years ago. I went to sleep and woke up with someone else's thighs. It was just that quick. The replacements had the texture of cooked oatmeal. Whose thighs were these and what happened to mine?
I spent the entire summer looking for my thighs.
Finally, hurt and angry, I resigned m…

I found this beautiful poem that really explains the spiritual meaning of the lotus. We are all the lotus, unfolding one petal at a time. We are truely the unfolding of the God energy.
Enjoy and Namaste

Since I was a very small child, I've had very vivid dreams. Many of my dreams have had deja vu...or promnesia...
I have a repetitious dream of me on a small wooden boat floating in the midst of swans around me. The water is pastel blue..almost like a water color painting. The trees are growing out of the water. They are weeping willows. The atmosphere is calm, serene and very comforting. At points in my dream, I can fly out of the boat. I can fly in the sky and look below and see everyone below…

Hi all, this is my first blog post to this site, and most likely not my last! :)
On August 29th, 2009, I had the opportunity to bring 7 friends to a channeling session w/ Marianne at Ferfolia Funeral home. My dear friend Megan hosted this event at her family's funeral home. It was a great turn out with about 35 friends.
The 7 friends I brought with me, Marianne did not know any of them at all. She did not know anything about their past, anything personal, she did not even know their names (or…

Spiritual enlightenment is something that I have been seeking my entire life, but most especially since my 10 year marriage ended in divorce in September 2007.
I wasn't raised in a religious household, yet in 1997, I found myself marrying into a household where my ex-husband (who I will refer to as "Ed") was born and raised Lutheran by his single mother (who never remarried after she divorced 43 years earlier). Ed's mother often openly pitied me for not being from a family with religious values…

So my husband and I have been discussing how we can live a simpler life and get off of the grid. However, a lot of people don't understand what that means because it means different things to different people.
For me, getting off the grid means the following:
* elimination of credit card debt
* driving my 400 + mile tank car until its on its last legs (yeah Honda Civic!!!)
* supporting environmentally conscious companies
* buying environmentally aware products
* consuming less
* recycling more…

At the end of the tax year, the local IRS office sent an inspector to audit the books of a synagogue. While he was checking the books, he turned to the Rabbi and said, "I notice you buy a lot of candles. "What do you do with the candle drippings?"
"Good question", noted the Rabbi. "We save them up and send them back to the candle makers, and every now and then they send us a free box of candles."
"Oh," replied the auditor, somewhat disappointed that his unusual question had a completely practi…

An old man walks into the local Church and says to the secretary, 'I would like to join this damn church.'
The astonished woman replies, 'I beg your pardon, sir. I must have misunderstood you. What did you say?'
'Listen up, damn it. I said I want to join this damn church!'
'I'm very sorry sir, but that kind of language is not tolerated in this church.' The secretary leaves her desk and goes into the pastor's study to inform him of her situation. The pastor agrees that the secretary does not h…

It takes your food seven seconds to get from your mouth to your stomach.
One human hair can support 3 kg (6.6 lb).
The average man's penis is three times the length of his thumb.
Human thighbones are stronger than concrete.
A woman's heart beats faster than a man's.
There are about one trillion bacteria on each of your feet.
Women blink twice as often as men.
The average person's skin weighs twice as much as the brain.
Your body uses 300 muscles to balance itself when you are standing st…

Hello villagers!
Once again, I'm stuck with a tough decision, and I'm not sure how to proceed! I became friends with a guy a few years (and a few lessons) back, and he was one of those "fringe friends." You know, someone you hang out with on occasion, but not the first person you call if you win the lottery. Nice guy, lots of issues. I have/had this need to surround myself with unbalanced people so that I could feel like I was the one they needed to help them save themselves. I can admit the ma…

A modern day cowboy has spent many days crossing the Texas plains without water.
His horse has already died of thirst.
He's crawling through the sand, certain that he has breathed his last breath, when all of a sudden
he sees an object sticking out of the sand several yards ahead of him.
He crawls to the object, pulls it out of the sand, and discovers what looks to be an old briefcase.
He opens it and out pops a genie. But this is no ordinary genie. She is wearing a FEMA
(Federal Emergency M…

I am the car pool Mom and take my son and four other kids home ever day.
Yesterday I had been taking donations to various agencies throughout Cleveland.
I picked up the kids and they were being kids- picking on and fighting with each other...
(I say kids but they are in junior high)
So I told them I had to make a stop to drop off one more donation- and I took them to the Men's homeless shelter in downtown Cleveland. I had a load of blankets - and knowing the temperature was going down a…
